Dear Fellow Cyber-lawyers:

In many countries other than Japan, you can easily access actual law text, acts,codes, regulations and other law related documents through the internet. One of themost famous web pages is US Congress home pageand you can access entire US Code database through an easy-to-use interface.

In my opinion, the Japanese Government shouldstart a WWW project which provides access to actual text of Japanese Laws as soonas possible. However, as you may know, the Japanese Government is quite famous fordoing nothing good when it should do so, so I do not know when such a project willbe started.

I can't wait forever, so I decided to initiate a project that provides actual textof various law related documents both in Japanese and English by myself. BecauseI do not have fancy secretarial support, it will take a long time for me to completea full-line of basic laws of Japan in this archive.

My current plan is to put up HTMLized text on my web page as much as possible atfirst. Then, I will think of how to sort the archive and, if possible, prepare asearchable interface. Therefore, the archive will be in some disarray for a while.Please be patient!!

Because it's a lonesome journey, I am looking forward to hearing comments and suggestionsfrom everyone who drops into my webpage for a visit.
